Training
Flying a helicopter is one of the most unique aviation experiences out there. At Arlanda Helicopter we offer helicopter pilot training in Stockholm – from trial flights and the private licence (PPL-H) to proficiency checks and type ratings.
We are approved to train for PPL(H) and today we deliver trial flights and proficiency checks with experienced instructors on modern helicopter types such as the Robinson R44, Bell 206 and AS350 / EC130.

Typically between 3 and 12 months depending on how often you fly and study theory. We adapt the schedule to your calendar.
A minimum of 45 flight hours is required by regulation, but most students need a little more to feel confident and pass the skill test.
Flight training takes place in Stockholm / Åkersberga with experienced instructors and according to current regulations.
Yes! We offer trial flights in the Robinson R44 where you get to fly with an instructor and see if the training is right for you.

Theory is studied at an external aviation theory school, while flight training takes place with us at Arlanda Helicopter. We'll guide you to the right setup and schools.
Yes, a Class 2 medical certificate is required for PPL(H). We'll point you to approved aviation medical examiners in Stockholm.
