FAQ

Frequently asked questions about helicopter maintenance

What does EASA Part-145 mean?+

EASA Part-145 is the European regulation governing approved maintenance organisations for aircraft. A Part-145 certified helicopter maintenance facility has been audited and approved by the authority in terms of organisation, personnel, tooling, facilities, documentation and quality systems. In practice it means that all maintenance is carried out by certifying engineers in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance data, and that the work is fully documented and correctly released to service.

Which helicopter types do you service?+

We carry out helicopter maintenance and servicing on the Bell 206 (JetRanger/LongRanger), Airbus AS350 / H125 and EC130 / H130. We have extensive experience with both Bell and Airbus Helicopters and handle scheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs and component replacements.

Can private helicopter owners use your services?+

Yes. We perform maintenance for private helicopter owners, airlines and commercial operators alike. Whether it is a single annual inspection on a Bell 206 or ongoing servicing of an AS350/H125 fleet, we build a plan that suits your operation.

How do I book a service slot?+

Contact the workshop at info@arnheli.se or by phone with the helicopter type, registration, hours flown and your preferred time frame. We will come back to you with proposed dates and a quotation. For unscheduled defects and AOG situations we always do our utmost to get you flying again quickly.

How often does a Bell 206 need servicing?+

A Bell 206 is maintained according to the manufacturer's maintenance programme, with recurring checks based on flight hours and calendar time – typically 50-hour, 100-hour and 300-hour inspections plus an annual inspection, in addition to life-limited component replacements. The exact intervals are governed by the helicopter's maintenance programme and utilisation; we help you plan them so downtime is kept to a minimum.

Where is your helicopter maintenance facility located?+

Our helicopter workshop is located in Åkersberga, north of Stockholm, and serves customers throughout Sweden. We receive helicopters for scheduled maintenance, annual inspections and repairs all year round.
